I finally saved up and got a flash gun for my camera. Not a hugely expensive one I will grant you but one that does the job. I am not into at the minute spending a huge sum on a piece of camera equipment as
1 - I am not totally sure how everything works so buying something that beeps AND flashes would be lost on me
2 - My better half would deicide to separate my soft parts if I went out and bought something that cost in the hundreds and was just left in a drawer or bag because I didn't understand it or don't like
So domestic harmony and body parts remaining intact I wanted to see how it worked on a portrait of a person. Finding a willing participant was difficult as suddenly everyone was out. So I acquired an artist dummy and tried taking the photo of it up against a white background. When this provided photos as exciting as a toenail clipping and as a result of the large glass of red wine the accompanied this photo shoot (the wine - brilliant plus as the model wasn't drinking I had hers) I decided to try to animated the model as if it was actually connecting with me the photographer.
I don't think they were bad as a first attempt at off camera flash and a 'nude' model
